Bellevue is a traditional french grand maison set in 7 acres of beautiful french countryside with the River Clain running through its private field and woodland.
Sitting alongside the main house is the Maison du Gardien, this is the house that was once home to the family employed to look after the house and gardens.
The Maison du Gardien has been renovated in 2009 to a high standard and has it own private garden and entrance
Just a few minutes walk through the field or down through the woods and you can spend many pleasant hours fishing for one of the many species contained in the river Clain

This room contains a very comfy double and single bed and is ideal for either a couple of a family requiring an extra single bed

This bathroom is shared between the Family Bedroom and the Twin Bedroom with 2 fully lockable doors.

You will have a private garden with table, chairs and BBQ to while away the evening hours, your own entrance to our private woods with the River Clain running the length of the woods and then through our wild meadow beyond.
Also planned for 2010 a lovely water garden located in the sun trap that is our lower tiered garden with swimming pool, sun terrace, BBQ and outside dining area

The Location
Sommières du Clain is a small country village that boasts the beautiful St. Gaudent church, a charming restaurant, a café bar/tabac, a boulangerie, a small local store and a pharmacy, this is all overlooked by the imposing Chateau de Sommieres.
The surrounding countryside is dominated by stunning sunflower fields, rolling fields of maize and woodland typical of the Vienne region of France. There are many activities in and around Sommières that we can advise you on and arrange including country walks, canoeing and fishing on the river Clain
