Welcome to Les Fardines Self Catering House in South West France

Fully renovated in 2001, Les Fardines is a traditional stone built cottage, situated 3km from the hamlet of Puy d’Arnac and 7 km from the small market town of Meyssac. From it's elevated position with stunning views down the Sourdoire Valley, you can just see the towers of Curemonte’s Chateaux in the distance. The house offers 2500 m2 of grounds, private heated swimming pool with Roman end, and is the ideal choice for those wanting to enjoy the beauty of the countryside

The house is on two floors and accommodates 4/5 people.
Ground Floor
Steps lead up to the main door, opening into the living room with it's open fireplace, exposed stone and beams, and wood flooring. Here you will find satellite TV, DVD and a CD player and a large collection of books and games. Three steps lead down to the kitchen/dining area. The fully fitted kitchen includes gas hob, electric oven, fridge and dishwasher. Sliding doors lead onto the terrace and outdoor eating area. Steps lead to the cellar where you find the washing machine.
1st Floor
Consists of one double and one twin bedroom (with ample space for third bed or cot) sharing a bathroom with bath, shower and sink, and a separate toilet.

The 9 x 4 m heated swimming pool has a Roman end which provides the ideal paddling area for younger children. A large terrace, with plenty of outdoor furnishing surrounds the pool. Mature Oak trees offer shade for the terrace in front of the house, an ideal eating area looking out over the garden and view beyond. There is ample parking for two or more cars. Dial up internet connection is available on site.

Our houses are all within 20 km of our own home at Fleuret, 3km from the mediaeval village of Curemonte and 30km from Brive-la-Gaillarde.
A comfortable days drive from the main channel ports, we offer ferry and euro tunnel discounts to all our guests.
For those wanting a more relaxed drive, motor rail runs from Calais to Brive from May to October- put your car on the train in Calais on Friday evening, spend the night in a cabin on the train, and wake up in Brive the next morning, just 30 minutes drive from our houses!
Reaching us by air gets easier each year as budget airlines expand their routes. Limoges airport is just over an hours drive away and has direct flights from London Stanstead, Liverpool, East Midlands and Southampton, on either Ryanair or Flybe.
Other airlines fly into Bergerac, Toulouse and Bordeaux, all of which are within 2 hours drive.
If you enjoy traveling by train, Brive is just 4 hours from Paris-Austerlitz, which coupled with the new eurostar service from London St Pancreas to Paris Gare du Nord means you can travel from London to Brive in around 7 hours.

We accept cheques in both UK pounds and euros as well as credit cards. Please note that although we do not surcharge deposit payments, we are obliged to surcharge final payments made by credit card by 1.5%.
